Fall Delights - Fic/Art Gift Exchange!! - Update

Hey everyone! I know there's been some concern about what's happening with the Fall Delights Fic/Art Gift Exchange, so I wanted to give you an update. We're going to have to work on a much tighter schedule now that the end of the term is getting closer. I'm going to propose a new timeline and I'd like your opinion on it. If you think you'll need more time or if these dates don't work for you, please let me know. The due date is set for 8 days after the assignments go out to try to accommodate fast and hard writers who want their points to spill over multiple weeks. If you aren't concerned about points or don't plan on writing thousands of words, there's plenty of room for extensions. I'd like for everyone to be able to get all the gifts/points they're hoping for this term. I'm willing to work with you, so please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you be able to participate.

Signups close: 11:59p UTC Wednesday, December 9
Assignments out: By 11:59p UTC Thursday, December 10
Gifts due to the mod email: 11:59p UTC Friday, December 18
Pinch-hits out: By 11:59p UTC Saturday, December 19
Pinch-hits due: 11:59p UTC Friday, December 25
Gifts posted: 11:59p UTC Saturday, December 19

How this will work:
As always instead of just assigning gifts and having everyone post whenever, all completed gifts are going to be e-mailed to the mod account (sugarquillmods@gmail.com) by 11:59p UTC Friday, December 18. Once this deadline has passed, pinch hits will go out immediately. Pinch hitters will have 6 days to write fics or produce art (Friday, December 25th - for super quick posting).
On December 19th, all the gifts will begin to be posted to the comm. Stories received before Dec 20 11:59p UTC will be posted before the new week begins and will go toward the 3rd week of December points. If you write a fic that is more than 3,750 words, 125 points will go for the 3rd Week of December and the rest will count for the 4th week of December. If you're going to write more than 7,500 words, please drop me a line, so we can figure something out!
If you drop out or go MIA or otherwise bail on your gift, you won't get your own present. Your present will be posted as a gift to the community. Obviously, we know that real life sometimes gets in the way and you can't always help it, but we want to try and reward people who do get their gifts in.
There are no extra points for the gift exchange, but participants will get a special shiny, and you get the fun in giving a gift to others and receiving one yourself.
