George walked across the street from Gringotts to Susan's flower shop. This was their routine everyday, George would make the daily deposit, and would stop by to see Susan on his way home. Sometimes they had dinner, sometimes they chatted, but most of all they enjoyed each others company.

George opened the door and a little bell tinkered in the back, alerting of new customers.

Justin called from the back room,

“Hi George, I'll be out in a sec.”

George patiently waited and looked around. Nothing much was new since yesterday. He stopped to smell the sunflowers, they were his favorite, they reminded him of Susan. Bright and happy, they fit her personality very well.

Justin came out from the back and soothed his apron down.

“Hey Justin, where's Susan.”

Justin frowned, “She's up in bed. She's sick.”

“Oh no! What's wrong?” George was stricken was a moments look of panic.

“Its okay, she's got the flu.”

George nodded, “Can I see her?”

Justin snorted, “Of course. Through the back and up the spiral staircase.”

“Thanks.”

George walked into the back room. He hadn't actually ever been back here. He thought a moment, he hadn't ever seen Susan's room either. Which, she hadn't seen his room, usually if they had dinner it was at the cafe down the street.

He looked around the room, seeing what was there, when he saw some marigolds and a piece of ribbon laying on the cutting table. George smiled and picked the small bundle of flowers and tied them up in ribbon. It wasn't much, but he wanted Susan to feel better.

Quietly, George made his way up the stairs and into her room. It was simple, but beautiful all at the same time.

“Justin?” Susan coughed and groaned a bit.

George frowned and went over to her bed and knelt down, “No, not Justin.” He soothed her hair off her face. It was pale and her eyes were puffy. It was clear, she was not feeling good, he frowned.

“George.” she smiled at him, “What are you doing here?”

“I came to see you. Silly. You're not feeling good, are you?”

“No.” she pouted

George gave Susan a look of concern

“Its just the flu, I'll be fine soon. I promise.”

“You better.” he held out the flowers, “I hope these help you feel better.”

Susan smiled up at him, “Marigolds. You remembered.”

“How could I forget?” He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.

“George! You're going to get sick!”

George smiled at her and stood up straight, “It's worth it. Maybe you can nurse me back to health if I get sick.”

Susan laughed weakly, “Don't count on it” she grinned, clearly saying that she would take care of him when he's sick.

“Just relax, and I'll take care of you.'

Susan smiled at George as he soothed her hair back again, “Thank you.”

He just smiled at her and went to the kitchen, heating up water for tea and making her soup.

George stayed, until Susan was fully well again, and in turn, when it was time for George to be sick, she stayed with him, until he was fully well again. And to each of them, it was worth it.
