Can the Order post to Tumblr?: No, sorry.

The price had been extortionate, but Barty knew this was the perfect venom for what he needed. Acromantula venom was exceptionally hard to get hold of, but it would prove to be worth it. In order to be in Voldemort's good books and continue to do his bidding, Barty had to be subtle and this death had to be traceless. There should be no link to either himself or any of the other Death Eaters, and least of all, Voldemort. Of course, people would probably suspect their group had something to do with it, but if there was no evidence, they couldn't prove it.

Barty had chosen Acromantula venom because it was a slow-acting venom. It took roughly three to four days to work, and the victim usually thought they were coming down with a general illness. A cold, or flu perhaps. They shared similar symptoms: a blocked nose, coughing, sneezing, irritation. After the first couple of days, the symptoms escalated, and the victim begins to feel hot and bothered, suffers from a migraine, and eventually, coughs up blood. By this stage, it's far too late to take an anti-venom. They would die slowly and painfully within a few hours of those final symptoms, usually far too weak to call for help.

However, the best part about Acromantula venom was that it was absolutely untraceable. It wouldn't matter how many diagnostic spells the Healers used to try and find out how Mr Thomas had died, the venom just would not show. His death would be a mystery, because there were may other types of venoms and poisons that were untraceable too, and it would be far too hard to even figure out if a poison or venom was what he'd died from.

It really was the perfect murder weapon, and Barty didn't feel at all guilty because it was Mr Thomas' own fault. If he'd just agreed to join the Death Eaters when he'd been sought out, Barty wouldn't be having to do this. It was so much more effort for Barty to have to slip it into Mr Thomas' drink when he wasn't looking (and let's not forget how long it took Barty to find the man in the first place), than for Mr Thomas to have just submitted.

Barty finally found the perfect opportunity when Mr Thomas went out into the woods. He'd left something brewing over a small cauldron, so Barty poured the little vial into that. He stayed around, hidden between the trees, to make sure Mr Thomas consumed it. Only when the whole pot was gone did Barty dare to leave, rest assured that come a few days time, there would be no more Mr Thomas at all.

450 Words = 15 points for Hufflepuff!
