Title: Chicken Coconut Curry
Summary: Ted asks Andromeda for a quite tricky favour

“Chicken Coconut Curry.” Andromeda raised an eyebrow, looking at the recipe her husband had just reached her, unable to believe what she saw. But Ted would only nod, his eyes glistening with excitement.
“You have no idea how amazing this tastes. Once you’ve tried it, you won’t want to eat anything else, I promise.”
“Then feel free to cook it for me, dear.”
Ted gasped for breath. He opened his mouth to speak but then closed it again only a second later, as if he was unable to find a response. Andromeda laughed and shook her head, amused by her husband’s face expression. She knew about his inability to cook, hadn’t she watched his few attempts with great amusement.
“All right,” she said after a while, giving a quiet sigh. “Let me try to figure out a way to-“
She wouldn’t even finish her sentence, interrupted by her husband’s hesitant cough. She looked deeply into his eyes for a moment, causing him to smile a slight, nearly guilty smile.
“Do I even want to know?”
“You know, Dromeda… There is something… Why not call it a little twist? To make it a little more exciting?”
“-“
“I… It-“
Again Andromeda sighed, again she’d shake her head. “Ted,” she said after she’d listen to his stammering for a while. “You want me to cook for you, so I think it would be time for you to talk to me and tell me about what you call an ‘exciting twist’. Otherwise, I’m afraid, we’ll have to stick to toast for dinner.”
Ted laughed, placing a quick and gentle kiss on her cheek.
“It’s nothing of importance,” he finally said. “You’d only have to cook it the Muggle way…”
Now it was Andromeda to laugh, a sharp laugh that caused her husband to wince. She took a step forward until her face nearly touched his, smiling at him before she whispered into his ear...
“No.”
“But, Dromeda!”
“Forget it, Ted. You know how my last attempt to cook like the Muggles ended. It took us days to get the kitchen cleaned!”
“Or to tame the food,” Ted muttered. “A completely new independent existence…”
“I heard that.”
“Dromeda, please!”
“All right. But only if you help me.”
“-“
Again she laughed, looking at Ted’s terrified face. He truly seemed to have expected to come to a different conclusion.
“Come on, then!” Andromeda said, unable to suppress a chuckle. “Let’s go. Or would you like to have dinner at midnight?”
