Title: Being a Marauder
Summary: Remus reflects on what it means to be a Marauder.
Characters/Pairings: Remus Lupin (James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew)
Genre: General
Rating/Warnings: G
Word Count: 190
It is moments like this that Remus Lupin appreciates what it means to be a Marauder. Sirius is splayed out on the only couch, his hand still clutching the handle of his mug, the remains of his drink has congealed on the floor. James leans against the couch, his mouth wide open and snoring, his head resting against Sirius's hip as if it was made for his head to rest against. Peter has found himself a blanket and curled up in a corner, reminding Lupin, strangely enough, of a litter of puppies, despite there only being one of him.
He is sitting at the table where he fell asleep sometime during Sirius's tale of how he nearly crashed into an airplane on his motorbike. It had been the fifth time he had told it, after all, and Remus had been not nearly drunk enough to appreciate that particularly story more than twice.
His head is full of cotton and his mouth tastes like the underside of a log, but nevertheless Lupin smiles as he takes in the sight of his three friends, appreciating what it means to be a Marauder.
Title: Never After
Summary: Cho's reaction to Harry's wedding.
Characters/Pairings: Cho Chang
Genre: Angst
Rating/Warnings: G
Word Count: 139
She is furious. She wants to throw something. She wants to rip out that witches red hair from the roots. She sets the invitation on fire and that makes her feel a little better, but not really. The proof of her failure shrivels up as burnt paper is apt to do, and she watches it until there is nothing but a pile of ashes left.
And just as suddenly as her anger flared to life, Cho Chang feels it replaced with a deep sadness. The tears flow from her eyes as she realizes that's the second prince she's loved and lost, and surely no princess gets more than that.
A breeze flows in from the open window and blows the ask across the floor until Cho can no longer see it.
Cedric, she think, I wish you were here.
Title: White Lie
Summary: Neville's reaction to Luna's wedding
Characters/Pairings: Neville (Luna)
Genre: Angst
Rating/Warnings: G
Word Count: 108
It's not that he isn't happy for her. Because he is. He really, really is. But there's something about the way his chest hurts when he sees her walk down the aisle, her dress sparkling, and her eyes sparkling and he could swear that she's glowing, that makes him realize that he is not quite as happy as he says he is. Though he's happy for her because he can see her smiling and knows that she is happy.
But Neville decides that maybe he shouldn't tell her that, just yet. Luna has an uncanny ability to tell when someone isn't being completely honest with her or themselves.
