Name: Chelsea
Age: 13 (Just made the cut : ) )

1.Why would you like to join Hogwarts Home? Will you participate in both the process of sorting new applicants and the sub-communities one you have been sorted? I would like to join Hogwarts Home because it seems like such a...together community. A place of bonding and sharing, and just overall fun and welcoming. I will indeed participate in both the process of sorting and the sub-communities. It sounds like a load of fun. : )

2. Have you read all 6 of the Harry Potter books? Which book was your favorite and why? I have read all six Harry Potter books. I'm not quite sure why, but I've forever loved the third book. I guess I just loved the plot the most over any of the other books. It's unexplainable....I suppose.

3. What character do you most relate to? Why? I would have to say Hermoine. I'm constantly wrapped up in my studies, always an overachiever; and I am often labeled as a perfectionist. I stay loyal and true to my friends, and they tend to rub off on me more than I rub off on them.

4. Who is your least favorite character? Why? Oh, a toughie! I don't think I can decide! Wormtail. Yes, Wormtail. He stabbed his friends in the back. Multiple times. It's as simple as that. He's cowardly and doesn't have an inch of morals or principles in him.

5. What part of the series would you change if you were J.K Rowling? Why? Dumbledore dying, most definitely. I can't believe she killed him off! I loved Dumbledore, he was such a kind, sweet, wise man; and killing him was a shocker to me. I want my Dumbledore back. : (

6. If you were Headmaster/Mistress at Hogwarts, what changes would you make? Why? I don't think I would change anything. Because if I did make changes, the plot make take horrible twists and turns. It's sort of like saying, "If you could go back and change anything in your life, what would you change?" You can't really determine what you'd change, because if you alter that one thing, the whole world could go spinning off its axle. (I know, a bit dramatic, but still!)

7. If you were faced with a boggart what would you see? I don't think I would see anything distinguishable. It would be a mix of myself, loneliness, fear itself, failing, disappointing people, and just emotions or feelings. Really nothing tangible.

8. What are your top 3 positive traits that you feel define you? Why? I think one of my top three would be that I'm eccentric. At the right time, I'm very upbeat, very hyperactive. I tend to lift the spirits of my friends and breathe a little life into them when they're feeling down. Another positive trait would probably be my determination. Once I start something, I decide that I will finish it, in spite of all the breaks I may take in between that decision and my goal. And last but not least, I'm optimistic. I always think on the bright side of things. My friend and I have a joke about how I would look on the bright side of having my arm bitten off by a crocodile. : )

9. What are 3 negative traits that you feel hinder you? Oh, I have a lot. I can't decide which ones to choose! Well firstly, I'm a perfectionist. I always expect myself to be 10% better than I am or have done. I'm never satisfied with myself or what I've done, thinking it could always be better. Also, I've very sensitive. I will take almost any comment to heart. Even if it's just a joke. I'm easily hurt, and tend to cry a lot. Also, I'm a pushover. I can never stand up for myself, and I think what contributes to that is my introverted personality.

10. Please tell us why you should or should not be placed in each of the four houses.
Hufflepuff: I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be placed in here. I meet each and every one of the characteristics of a Hufflepuff. I'm hardworking to the point of being a perfectionist. I'm forever loyal to friends and family, I'm (usually) kind and fair. Also, I think of Hufflepuff as a house that doesn't stand out as much as the rest of the houses; another trait of mine.
Gryffindor: The main reason why I'd be sorted in here is because I'm loyal, but that's about it. I really have to courage, and I'm not brave whatsoever.
Ravenclaw: Another house I believe I'd do well in. My life is surrounded by my school and studies. I believe I am fairly intelligent, my grades surpassing nearly everyone in all of my classes. (Not meaning to sound cocky.) I'm also that of a daydreamer, another trait associated with Ravenclaw.
Slytherin: I'm divided in half about Slytherin. I don't believe I have some of the qualities a Slytherin would have, such as mischievous and cunning, but I am indeed loyal, and one of a go-getter, if you will.

11. Which of the four houses do you feel you are least suited for? Why? Gryffindor, because they seem very out there. Gryffindor to me seems like a very outspoken house full of heroism, courage, and bravery. I, however, have none of that.

12. If you could place one memory in a pensieve, what would it be? Why? I can't just place one. If I had to choose only one, I'd have to say none at all. I'm one who keeps their personal feelings, emotions, thoughts, dreams, etc. bottled inside.

13. Many say our choices are what make us unique. How easily do you make choices? Do you often regret those choices later? I'm very indecisive. My mom gets pretty annoyed because I constantly say, "I don't know." As for regret, I don't regret. I don't believe in regretting. It's a waste of time. You can never go back and change or undo what has already been done. They only thing you can do is plan what road you will take in the future.

14. Which of the four Hogwarts Founders (Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff) which would you be most interested to meet and why? Oh, I can't decide. Would I be crazy to say none of them? I would be just so extremely intimidated by them that my meeting with them probably wouldn't do any good anyway; I'd be too scared, intimidated, and in awe to actually get any words out of my mouth.

15. What do you feel makes Hogwarts so magical? What makes it so magical is that it incorporates both the Muggle world and that of the wizarding world. It makes us believe, "What if there actually is a world beyond our own that we don't know of? What if there is this actual world of magic and sorcery?" It just makes your imagination grow, giving you that slice of hope that there may actual be such a world.

16. The Second war between Light and Dark is taking place; who do you think will win the final battle? Why do you feel this way? I don't think anyone will win. I believe it'll be a standoff, because everyone has their light and dark side, and both dominate at certain times.

17. What is your favorite spell in the Potter Universe? Why? I don't have a favorite, because it's so hard to compare all these magical spells. They so greatly differ, and there's no way you can put them on the same level to compare.

18. If you were given the oppurtunity to own and run one shop in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, what would it be? Why? Wow, this is difficult since there are so many things wizards could do all on their own. I think I would be a replacement for Olivanders, and run a wand shop. This would be terrific because it's really getting the first witches and wizards started on their way to becoming a witch or wizard, and that feeling must be so accomplished and wonderful.

19. From reading the first book, we know Harry was almost placed in Slytherin. If you were the Sorting Hat which of the four houses would you have placed him? Oh snap. I suppose I would have to agree with the sorting hat and place him in Gryffindor. If I could, I would cut him up and place a piece of him in all of the houses. He has the characteristics needed for each and every one of the houses, such as being mischievous for Slytherin. Since I can not decide, I went with Gryffindor because what if he was in a different house? The plot would completely change, and I wouldn't want that. : )

20. There are many wonderful sorting communities on Livejournal; Why would you like to be a part of Hogwarts Home? Have you read and understood all the rules? I chose to be a part of this one, simply because it was the first one I came across. And yest, I have read and understood all the rules.

21. How did you hear about Hogwarts Home? If it was a member please give their name so they can earn points. I actually hear about it through surfing Livejournal. I was looking for stamping/rating communities. I'm currently a part of rent_stamping, and I wanted to see if there were any other kinds related to it. So I searched 'stamping' under interests, and Hogwarts Home popped up.

22. Would you like to tell us anything else about yourself? I'm so exhausted from doing this, that I can't think of anything. =-O
