This isn't a question, but I wanted to say that despite the fact I have zero imagination, I thought this was a very interesting activity and I'm looking forward to seeing both what others think and what the real answer ends up being. :)
This book seems like it would be a serious dramatic story about a woman and her journey through life, possibly after a loss of some kind. I wouldn't likely read it, as I tend to prefer escape rather than serious in my literature.
This book seems like it would be a mystery that takes place in a town with heavy forests. I don't think I'd read it because I'm not a fan of mysteries and just based on the cover it's not something that catches my attention.
Looks like a drama story about a young, mysterious woman with a dark past who moves into a small town, only to get sucked into the investigation of a missing child. She tries to stay out of it, but feels compelled to help in the search to prove her innocence (and subsequently come to terms with her past as the story unfolds) when pieces of evidence show up on the edge of her property. I would probably read this story, because I very much like that trope, and finding out what happened in a character's life to make them completely uproot themselves, but if it's too cliche or unbelievable, I'm not sure if I would finish the book.
An ordinary girl discovers she is really the descendant of an ice queen of an alien world. Her uncle finds her on Earth and brings her to her home planet where he hopes to teach her how to rule over her kingdom. There, she meets a peasant boy with secret magic of his own and finds out not everything is what it seems. Will she be able to save a home world she never knew....?
I would probably read this if it was easily written, like a fun chick-lit fantasy book rather than something super serious.
This seems like it would be a YA book about a fairy princess. She is used to getting what she wants, but then she meets the son of the dark fairy king and she falls in love. Will she fall to the dark side to be with him? I likely wouldn't read it, as I don't tend to like "destiny" type romances, and this feels like it would be one.
This seems like a novel about a girl who was forced to marry someone in royalty. She's basically the way the royal family will repopulate the royal line because it is dying out. And it talks about her struggles dealing with it. I think I'd read this. It seems like an interesting cover.
This seems like it is the story of a young girl's coming of age. Her mother wants more for her in life than she got, so the mother is constantly trying to give the girl advice and to help her grow. The daughter initially accepts her mother trying to live through her life but then rebels against it. I likely wouldn't read it. As again, I tend to go for more escapist stories.
This seems like a book about the history of a geisha. It seems like it'd be the story of a young girl growing up to become a geisha. I don't think I'd read this. I like more fantasy stuff and not really historical things.
You found the next manga I want to read! Hirou is being forced into a marriage and is searching for a way to escape the pressures of her family. Book 1, Let's meet Mama.
This seems like it is a YA book about witches. In this society of witches, they have cats as familiars. The cats are intelligent and able to communicate with the witches to aid them in their magic. This story is about one particular teenage girl trying to adapt to being a witch while living in a "human" world. I might read this, depending on the character's voices.
This seems like it'd be a book geared towards younger kids about witches. Maybe kids who discover they're witches and are learning how to control their powers. I'd read this. Only because I really like supernatural things and this cover gives me that vibe.
This looks just like my cat and we are getting quite a few wild friends in the neighborhood (armadillo, skunk, possum). I can see this as a children's book about what a cat does at nighttime when his family is asleep.
