join the club to get your bonus points. I hope at least considering these actual scientific possibilities about the end of our Universe has opened your mind a bit to the problems in modern astronomy. For those that are interested, examining the expansion rates of the Universe in the past and today it does seem that the Universe is speeding up its expansion, meaning Dark Energy is a thing that is real-- whatever it is-- and that the Universe is likely to end in a Big Rip, which in practicality means everything will be too far apart to do anything and the stars will all go dark and then the Universe will cool down until it is a frozen blackness forever. Sounds fun!
