Wizarding Games: Acronym Game
Acronyms Game
Gracefully stolen from here, where long (long long long) ago I used to play.
Gameplay:
1. Person whose turn it is post an acronym in the following format:
Book/Movie (e.g. PoA, CoS, HBP, All)
Book or Movie (e.g. 'Book', 'Movie' or 'Both')
Category (e.g. a person, an event, a place, muggles)
Acronym
This should be posted as a reply to the original game comment.
2. People guess as a reply to that comment, with only one guess per person at a time, so you can't post another until your previous one is answered, or post a load of guesses at once.
3. The first person to guess it win and it's then their go. They post their new acronym as a reply to the original comment.
If someone who is hosting doesn't reply for over 12 hours then they forfeit their turn and I'll either host a new one or assign someone to host it.
I'm keeping three threads going so there should always be a game going on.
Acronym rules:
- Must be between 3 and 5 letter long.
- 'The', 'of', etc should always be included in the acronym.
- If a person or place appears in only one book/film just list that, if it appears in more than one, put 'All'.
- Try to make sure they're not too hard/too easy, mine might be a bit too easy, but it's just to get the game rolling :)
Deadline: 16th September 2011, 5pm UTC timezones
Points: 2pts per guess, 2pts per game won, cap of 30pts.
Bonus item: Any playing cards. 10pts if you earn over 10pts. YOU MUST SIGN THE BONUS ITEMS THREAD IF YOU WANT POINTS FOR IT.
