I'm starting to believe the people at Humble (bringers of the Humble charity bundles) aren't very honest people.
Someone sent me a gift for Steam, but to get the code you have to go through Humble. Okay fine, I've got their bundles a few times, so I click the "get code" link. Instead of giving me a code, however, it gives me a link which reads "log into Steam." Which is odd, because I was actively logged into Steam already, both via the Steam client and my web browser. So I click that.
This brings me to a Steam login website with a Steam URL, but reading the information also says Humble. Odd. Having already been phished this year, I decline and don't get my gift. Thanks Steam!
Well, now I want to play The Unnamed Game, or TUG as they're calling it, so I buy the early access. Lo and behold, it's being distributed via Humble. Well, believing in life after love, I click through and the same thing happens. Begrudgingly, I enter my info and it says to expect an email with a code.
Instead of this, I get an email from Steam telling me that someone in Kinnewick, Wa has just hacked my account. Hooray!
I've sent emails to Steam and Humble and we'll see what happens. But now I'm questioning where my charitable donations actually went as I was active with that in the past. But it seems to me like Humble is a big scam operation now.
