Was this on your first reading? Maybe when reread it to answer the questions you thought of while reading it the first time, something else will jump out at you as an explanation of the way good-by was spelled. That's great that it jumped out at you like that!

Haha that's kind of funny. I'll have to research the next typo I find in my book to see if it has any hidden meaning.

I've been meaning to read that book for forever as well. By being homeschooled I missed out on a lot of the classics that are always required school reading. Glad to hear that you loved it. :)
