"Damn it, Malfoy, there's a war going on!"
"No shit, Granger."
"Then why are we still doing this?"
They glared at each other across the table. This was too complicated, too deep. But right now, Hermione needed something, anything, to rebel against.
She began unbuttoning her shirt. "Fine. This is the last time."
Moments later, as their bodies fell into the rough rhythm they'd developed, Hermione knew it wasn't over. They would meet again, unable to ignore the intimate longing for someone who was so forbidden that it was dangerous. It was a drug they were both addicted to.
