message-A-mod

In an attempt to encourage members to ask the mods more questions, we are introducing message-A-mod. We understand that not everyone likes to use LJ messaging to contact us, nor do they feel it's important enough to send an email. This should be effective in answering repetitive, miniscule, and/or tricky questions.

There are three of us (so far), so your comment should be replied to within a short amount of time.

Aside from just questions about the comm, message-A-mod can be used to voice your opinions on the workings of the community, give us suggestions, and if need be, to also report any complaints regarding the community and/or its members.

So instead of starting and ending your post with “Mods, feel free to delete this if it’s not allowed” or “Sorry mods, I’m not sure what to tag this as”, you can visit this post beforehand and leave a comment if you're uncertain.

Don't worry about whether or not a question has been asked. Ask as many times as you like. We would rather have the same question asked than to have to delete a post or comment asking you to make certain changes. It makes everything a lot easier and less frustrating.

Restrictions to these messages are at a bare minimum, but hopefully there won't be any problems. After commenting, your message will be screened until viewed by a mod, and upon reading and responding, the mod will then decide if it’s okay to be unscreened.

We also suggest that you check to see if your question hasn’t already been asked, and even though we know that not enough people do this, search through the questions and mod post tags and reread the community rules.
