I haven't been able to sleep the last 2 nights. Why might that be? Well...
It's sort of graphic...
So on Wednesday, I was at Workstudy, making a little money before the summer job (Commonwealth Shakespeare here in Boston, by the way). At the end of the day I was left with one project left over from my show (The Giver) - to put away the seating risers. According to Dan, the seating risers weigh about 50lbs each. They have steel frames and wooden lids. Most of them are falling apart pieces of shit and everyone hates them - me especially, when Dan and I have to put away these things on our own when its neither of our jobs. To make a long story short, when we were just a few away from finishing, one slipped and hit me in the middle finger on my left hand.
Upon getting examined in the ER I got a tetanus shot and found out that the steel had peeled back the skin a bit and killed some of my skin. Good times, right? I got 5 stitches and a finger brace.
The first night i couldn't sleep because it was unbearably painful and bled through the bandage onto my pillow.
Last night I couldn't sleep because it was awkward and the bandage slipped off. Ugh.
