Time to mourn another great loss...
Sometimes musicians burnout in a blaze of glory, sometimes they fade away slowly, but rarely do they seem to have so much to offer the world and, for some reason, they are not allowed. Esbjorn Svensson created such beautiful music and showed no signs that the well was going to go dry any time soon, but we'll never know. Please take some time to listen to these clips and realise what the world will miss. People that know me should know that, if I go on about a musician or band passionately, there's something to be listened to, so please do take a few minutes and drift away. Something should always come from a loss, and I hope, in this case, it's even further exposure. In the jazz world, the Esbjorn Svensson Trio is loved - I think it will be obvious to anyone that takes the time to listen to them why that is so.
