NAMM SHOW BITCHES!!!!!!!
O shit, I dont even know where to start with this...
So basically I just got back from the NAMM (National assoc of music merchants) show in Anaheim today! This 3 day adventure was by far the most fun I think I have ever had...ever. I need to post pictures of it to do it justice, by I am still unpacking and dont have time for that right now but I promise I will put up some pictures soon.
Basically a run down of what NAMM is:
It takes place in the HUUUUUGE anaheim convention center, which is not open to the public btw. People in the music products industry, which basically means instruments, audio equipment and recording tech from all over the world come together to show off their newest innovations and products. But its so much more too...you really get to see the business in so many different lights and definitely get such a storng feeling for where this industry is heading in the future when I will be playing a part in it
Highlights:
1) Meeting rockstars like Slash and Velvet Revolver, Dave Navarro, Joe Satriani (Ben your autograph is sitting next to me right now), Steely Dan and several others
2) Concerts everywhere
3) Looking at all the awesome recording technology and getting to play with programs and make musics
4) So much free shit including shirts, CDs, DVDs, drum sticks, books, etc
5) I was the only freshman from UOP that went, so I really got to know all the upper-classmen really really well, who are all hilarious, incredibly smart, and extremely kind
6) Constantly hanging out with Jessica and Casey, who are pretty much the coolest people EVER (after Ben Nelson that is)
And now...I am back at college, which I love, and I love all of you guys
