Long time no write

Ok... so it has been a while since I have done this. I have been to Paris, handed in my dissertation and my new full time job is looking for a Job. Mind you I am also doing other things to keep my mind from entering the state of no return (e.g. madness).

First things first... Paris was great although a little to hot (not really being personally build for such temperatures). My mum took me to congratulate me on passing my Degree, mind you it was a bit of a cheat as I have as yet not received my final grade (praying for a 2:1). We stayed in a family friends flat and therefore had great access to the city as well as managing to not eat in a tourist area.

It was good getting to know my mum a bit better (having gone to boarding school and university have not had the chance to ever really get close. Had great games of scrabble and fun and interesting conversations about all sorts of stuff.

Went to Chichester for a short time afterwards which was relaxing although it did remind me of why I don't ever want to live down south (unless I have too) again. Saw my friend Rob (he is coming up this weekend actually, but never mind), and managed to clear some of the old junk from my room, which made my mum happy at least.

Found some books my grandma wrote for me as a child when cleaning my room, it was interesting being reminded of the way she used to make fun of herself, and always make the (real) people like me or my brother be clever ones. I miss her.

.... And now I sit here hoping that one of the many jobs I am applying and have applied for get back to me soon, as I want to WORK!!! Everyone thinks I am mad but the idea of finally being able to support myself is making me look harder every day. And I guess I just want to know where I am going to be living, because I am applying everywhere.

To keep my mind going, I have two freelance jobs going and I am slowly redesigning my web site as I feel it is not a good site. Might also continue teaching my dyslexic student.

jobs, family, scrabble, chichester, travel
