(no subject)
So I find http://video.google.com/ good, it seems fun looking for clips of music videos and just odd stuff really. I have been sorting out more things on my computer, and thinking what to do about music, I realise that I don't often use my MP3 collection these days, and there are things that I only listen to for a bit of a laugh, maybe it is time I should keep certain things only on CD.
I have been debating with myself about whether to put Quark back on my machine too, but I think I will wait till I know I need it, I am still not entirely sure why my LEA bought it for me, even now years after they did. I like Page Maker more for some reason which I can't work out (could be because I was trained on PM before I ever learnt Quark). I realise now why I bought a USB hub a while ago, I never thought I would run out of ports so often, to the point that I keep forgetting that my modem is a USB one, so I try to unplug it mid-download, so I can plug something else in.
I had a discussion with phamster the other day too about my MD player, which is now playing on my mind (mmm... bad pun here somewhere) I have like him recorded lectures and other things with a mic onto MD's and do want at some point to put them on my PC, but the way things are looking this will be hard. There must be an easy way of doing it, I seem to remember doing it in the past, but phamster has been reading up and says Sony for some reason stop you from doing it.
I feel like I have done a lot today, which is pretty good considering it is only the mid afternoon, this evening I am off to play Magic the Gathering in the Burlington rooms, they we are going for curry in Rusholme which will be good I think. Food and Magic a good mix I think, it is also a way of avoiding the kids knocking on the door, and around here you really don't want to open your door to kids.
