Ok, it's been a few months, so I figure it's time to update my journal. What's been going on, you ask?
Well, two of my friends have made life-altering decisions lately. Brianne is getting married in a month, and Tom is dropping out of school and moving home on Thursday. It's not that I don't support these decisions, it's just that they both took me by surprise. I mean, I take forever to decide what I want. I will be lucky if I manage to choose a grad school in time to audition for a program, so it baffles me that there are people in the world capable of making huge decisions and being so sure about them.
Luke joked that he was moving to France tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised, the way things are going.
School is going ok, but I already have a baaad case of senioritis (inflammation of the senior?). I waited a whole month into school before I started skipping class. My linguistics professor is the cutest, most adorable, Jewiest, most lesbian teacher I've ever had and I look forward to her class every day. I sit through History of the English Language in slack-jawed amazement, just listening to her go off on her tangents (in a New York dialect, and a Yiddish accent!). Dance class is a joke, but it's also Pass/Fail, so who gives two shits? Music Cultures makes me want to stab out my eyes every time I go, but I have to go so I can flirt with the professor to get an A. Studying Culture Through Film: Scandinavian Case Studies is interesting and boring all at the same time, and there are non-trads, so, again, lots of face-stabbing impulses. And Music Theory is a waste of my time. So there you have it.
Entirely off topic...I'm going to Berlin next year and I want to see the Pergamon Museum so badly I can taste it. Tastes like old candy.
