I honestly have no idea anymore. I don't know what my original flight was. But I think I spent most of the next day trying to get home from terminal D. And being hellishly ill because of the lack of sleep and bad food. Good times :P
Hah, good times indeed. My flight home was still out of Terminal B, so that was nice. But that first day, I flew into Terminal D, and they had just announced that there was some lightning in the area so they were temporarily grounding flights, and they closed the Skylink, so I had to take the walkways to get to B. I remember being up on the walkway and looking out and thinking "the sky is clear! This shouldn't affect me, my flight's not for 2 hours..." Must've jinxed myself. :D
YES! I was so pissed about the skylink being closed down. I have a torn up knee and I was gimping on my cane that day and I got off my plane somewhere below B10 and then had to hike all the way up to D20-something. Only to find out I wasn't getting on a plane. And the guys driving the golf carts didn't see the need to give me a lift, only told me to move as they were driving. Sure, I looked like I was in shape to be hurtling security morons on golf carts *headdesk*
I thought the same thing too. I figured if my flight was in a couple hours, they would have plenty of time to start boarding again and mine would only be a little late. WRONG!
Did you end up getting on a flight home that night or were you cancelled and rebooked for yesterday?
(I was there all night and all day yesterday trying to get on my Tuesday 9:45 flight....LONGEST. DAY. EVER.)
