Dear everyone,

I just want to take a moment to say I like these two urban romance songs.  I think they are both lovely and full of emotion.  One is a girl2boy song and the other is boy2girl song. If you have a love song that you want to share that reminds you deeply of love, that reminds you of romance, or reminds ( Read more... )

Not exactly a love song, but one of my very favorite songs ever:

Goo Goo Dolls
Iris

And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
'Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
And you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

Dear Misty,

Thanks for the comments and placing that song here. I know that song vveryyyyyyyy well. Thats quite possibly one of the most intense love songs ever. Especially because it went so incredibly well with the movie that starred Nicholas Cage and (Meg Ryan?) which also was an intense an incredibly powerful movie and love story involving angels willing to give up heaven for the one they love.

Love for you, Misty, and all,

me

That has to be one of my favorite movies ever...

I guess Iris is a love song.. I think that i'd always seen it as a lost love song before, but I think that you're right.

Dear Misty,

Thanks for posting your comments.

Yes, it would be one of my favorites if the major tragedy didn't occur. But it was without question great movie. I can't recommend a love story with such an unexpected heart-stopping tragedy to someone. its too deep.

:)

love 4U, Misty, and all,

Ooo I think the tradgedy is one of the best parts! :)

It has been my personal observation that people seem to be afraid to "feel". (disclaimer: I'm not talking about you here, so don't go nicely knocking my teeth in)

I am one that feels that life is all about the experiences. And even though I don't enjoy hurting anymore than the next guy- Later, when the hurt subsides, I'm greatful for the chance to have felt it.

Example, my boss died a couple years ago, and his wife has just flat out refused to grieve.. Claiming that she is afraid that she will become depressed and not be able to get out of it. She stays busy busy busy so much that she can't even sit down and read a book anymore. Has to have constant stimulation and avoids bbeing left alone with her thoughts for even one minute.

Let me tell you.. that woman is going nuts. She has been doing the goofiest stuff that you could imagine. Had a crush on this guy, and then stalked him for over 6 months- among other things.

I enjoy movies that elicit those emotions that we try to keep supressed so much.
