hello there.

as i realize no one will be actually reading this apparently i haven't written in this thing for almost two years (90 weeks)!

so here's what happened, short recap style:

i graduated from Edgewood.
i took a crappy job in minnesota.
i quit and took care of my grandma for 2 months fulltime (24 hours a day)!
it was like 20 below zero for like a month so i drove to arizona to stay with my sister.
i then had a series of shitty jobs in tucson and eventually got an americorps position in cheyenne wyoming.
now i am in wyoming.

tada.

today is currently lent and even though i am not catholic, i am still participating.
such as, i have quit drinking soda and refuse to use the elevator to the office (which is three flights up). painful but good.

i have 45 minutes left before i go home and wash dishes but i find that there is nothing really to discuss. i do find it irritating that people can check their damn spelling. good god.
anyways, wyoming is like a really big trailer park. its fun to watch from a distance but i don't particularly like living here. there are little things i miss about living in a larger city including ethnic food and vegetarian and vegan food, access to a decent bookstore and/or library, and a place to buy electronics. there seriously is no best buy here. i don't know home many times i can reiterate how annoying that is.

so my americorps term ends in august and i have to decide what to do in the fall. as of right now, i am applying for another americorps position in milwaukee, even though i said i would never return to the state of wisconsin. there is a master of science in nursing program at uw-milwaukee that i would like to apply for and the americorps position would definitely help.

another option is to stay in wyoming and attend the university in laramie. due to lack of housing and jobs, that seems less and less likely.

my final option is to move back to minnesota for a year, finish up pre-requisites for an accelerated nursing program and apply to South Dakota State in Sioux Falls. this is when it gets sorta messy. the program itself is a total of 22,000 dollars for the year. i only get 5,000 from the americorps program. i have a couple of options from here: do another year of americorps in minnesota and pray to god that i find a job, a place to live, and am able to attend school at the same time or i can join the army. don't laugh. im totally serious. its too long to explain now. maybe later but they will pay for some of the tuition and i would get a housing allowance. i dunno. gotta have a lawyer read over the contract. gotta get my ears fixed. too many things.

that is all.
