So it's Thanksgiving, and since we have no friends or family nearby we're not sure how to handle it. We bought 2 turkeys, but only because they were inexpensive, but then decided to go to a nice buffet style dinner at a nice restaurant with the kids since we'd at least be around other people who were being "thankful" (or stuffing their faces - however you prefer to look at it.) However, Brandon doesn't want to do that, and nobody seems very motivated about any ideas. It would be fucking weird to go for Thanksgiving Dinner without Brandon.
I bought flowers for the table, but the dining room is a mess.
You really never do feel lonelier than when you're on your own - even as a "family" - on a holiday like today. *sigh
I never feel lonelier or more disconnected from any type of community whatsoever than on Thanksgiving and Christmas in Seattle.
I am lonely today. (Or was that not obvious?)
