Chapter Nineteen - Naichau Kamo.. From Laughing So Hard!
Yabu rolled his eyes as he watched his fellow members. Hikaru had really lost it. He was currently hopping around the room explaining to each member that Yuto’s girlfriend was a psycho and that they had best watch their backs.
Yabu wondered if his friend would ever grow up.. As if. This was Yaotome Hikaru we’re talking about here. He knew it was completely impossible that his friend would ever mature.. Even a little.
Just as he was thinking he should go stop Hikaru, before things got out of hand, Yuto came flying through the door with an odd look on his face.
“Yabu!” Yuto spotted him immediately and came running over.
“Oh, what’s up Yuto? You’re late. And I thought you were bringing your friend to meet us today?”
Yuto opened his mouth to speak but only a rush of air came out. He held up one finger and then pressed his palms against his knees, trying to catch his breath.
Yabu chuckled. Typical Yuto.
“Alright, take your time. No need to kill yourself trying to speak. Just breathe for a second. I think I can wait that long,” Yabu joked.
Yuto grinned sheepishly, “Sorry about being late. I don’t really have a good reason.. So I’ll just leave it at that, no use in making excuses I guess. And yes, Mina is downstairs with Ryosuke. They should be up any minute..”
Yabu was momentarily caught off guard, “Why is she downstairs with Yama-chan?”
“Oh, because she was really nervous.. She seems really worried about what you guys will think of her! We were having some troubles getting her to come upstairs, so Yama-chan said I should go tell you that we are here, so we don’t get in more trouble for being late. He stayed with her to see if he could convince her to come upstairs,” Yuto smiled, satisfied with his explanation.
Yabu on the other hand was temporarily worried.. How did it make sense that Yuto, the boyfriend, would come upstairs, while Yamada comforted the girlfriend.. Something was weird. But he shrugged it off as nothing. Ryosuke was good friends with Mina as well.. And it is true that Yuto isn’t always the best at comforting, and tends to make things worse sometimes.. Besides, Yuto and Yamada were best friends, neither would ever betray the other. He was thinking too much.
“Oh, okay then. Hopefully she’s not too scared of us.. We’re not that bad are we?”
Yuto laughed, “Yes. I think you are.”
“Hey! How can you talk to your senpai that way? You’re gonna get it!” Yabu shouted, launching himself at his younger member.
Yuto squealed, a very high pitch girly squeal, and ran to the other side of the room to hide behind Daiki.
“Don’t think you can escape! And no hiding behind Daiki! He’s on my side! You insulted him too, not just me! Oi! Minna! Yuto-kun said we were bad. Get him!”
“AHHH!”

Yamada and Mina had finally made it to the door of the practice room. He looked over at her and saw that intense look of anxiety had made its way back onto her face.
“Hey, don’t worry. Everyone’s really nice. You don’t have to worry about them not liking you... You might, however, have to worry about them liking you too much. You might have trouble getting rid of them after this,” he warned, hoping to lighten her mood.
It worked, she giggled while shaking her head. Almost as though she was saying he was a silly little boy... Which was probably what she was thinking.
“Okay, I’ll keep that in mind,” she turned to him and her smile nearly blinded him.
He couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Temporarily stunned into silence. She cocked her head to the side and smiled cutely, wondering what he was staring at. He shook his head and laughed awkwardly, trying to act like nothing happened.
“Well then, shall we go in?”

Mina watched with bated breath as Yamada opened the door to the practice room. However, what she saw when the door opened distracted her to the point that she nearly forgot her anxiety entirely.
The first thing she saw was Yuto with a slightly terrified look on his face, running for his life.. But of course, the room was not all that big, so he was pretty much just running in circles.. And behind him were a group of boys, all with evil grins on their faces, chasing after him, leaping towards him, and grabbing onto his clothes in hopes of slowing him down.
Mina couldn’t help herself. Before she could fully process what was going on, or that she was supposed to be nervous, a full blown laugh made its way out of her mouth. And once it was out, there was no stopping it. She was hunched over laughing her head off. It was one of the funniest things she had ever seen! It really is not a sight you see every day. And here she had been worried to meet them because they were “celebrities” and she was worried they would see her as strange.. They weren’t celebrities! Not at all! They were a group of crazy boys, immature ones at that.
She couldn’t stop laughing no matter how hard she tried. She supposed it might have been the added relief of her anxiety leaving her. When her mind eventually caught up with her enough for her to look up, she realized that the entire room, all ten boys, were looking at her with wide eyes.
Now, no one can be sure as to why their reactions were like that.. It could have been that they were wondering why this crazy girl was nearly killing herself laughing while standing in their doorway.. Or it could have been the fact that a very pretty foreign girl was standing there laughing AT them. If you asked Mina, she would of course say it was the first, but in fact, the latter is much more likely.
She stopped laughing immediately, rightfully embarrassed by the sudden attention.
A tall, kind looking boy was the first to snap out of it, however, he seemed a bit hesitant to approach her, and instead addressed Yamada.
“How nice of you to finally join us, Yama-chan.”
“Sorry about that, it won’t happen again, I promise.”
The awkward silence settled in again. Mina looked towards Yamada, and then to Yuto, unsure of what to do. Then, just as she was considering turning and running back out of the building, the silence was broken.
“Woah! She’s really pretty! Ne, Hikari-chan, how did Yuto get such a pretty girl?”
The boy who had spoke was incredibly cute, and very small. Mina felt the urge to giggle but held it in, she decided this could be rather interesting. She had quickly realized that none of them thought she was fluent in Japanese, and therefore, they thought she couldn’t understand them.
“Oi! What if she knows the word “pretty?” Just because she’s not fluent, doesn’t mean she can’t understand anything you’re saying!” an older boy reprimanded, whacking the cute boy on the head.
He pouted cutely, and Mina secretly thought that she could really grow fond of him.
“Someone say something to her in English..”
The cute boy suddenly brightened up and ran over to her, stopping very close to her. He really was very small! Mina had always thought she was short.. but she towered over the boy!
“Hi!,” the boy said in English, “My.. ano, my name is.. Chinen! It is nice to meet you!”
Mina giggled. What a cute accent.
“Hi Chinen, it’s nice to meet you too! I’m Mina,” she smiled sweetly at him.
He looked at her with wide eyes before running back to the others and resuming his Japanese conversation.
“She’s so cool!”
“Her English is so good!” another boy said.
Everyone turned to look at him like he was stupid, and he received a few whacks over the head.
Yamada couldn’t stand the craziness anymore so he turned to Mina and spoke to her, in Japanese.
“Mina, this is Hey!Say!JUMP. As I said, there was nothing to be worried about. They are really just a bunch of normal kids.. As you have probably figured out by now.”
Mina giggled, satisfied with the results of her game and ready to reveal that she was actually fluent in Japanese.
“Yes, it seems I didn’t have anything to worry about. Everyone is very kind,” she turned to the boys who were all looking at her dumbfounded, “It’s very nice to finally be able to meet you all. I heard all about you from Yuto-kun and Ryosuke-kun. Thank you greeting me so kindly.”
“Does this mean she understood everything we just said...”

Here I am again! I know I'm very bad at updating. But, as of now, and as I said last time, I always try my best to get the chapters out quickly.. but it is also important to me that my writing be good, and up to my normal standards. I am very busy, and I have alot of things going on in my life. My dad left about a year ago, and my mom is working like crazy to keep us afloat. And because of this I have to work my butt of to help her out, and look after the house and my three younger siblings.. at the same time as doing my usual school work, working, and volunteering.. And so even when I have time to write, I am too exhausted to write anything worth while.
So, while I takes me a long time to update most of the time, I won't give up on this story, and I will continue writing it no matter how long it takes me. I will finish it. Because I love it too much. As well as my readers. Because you guys are the best.
