Days-of-summer-left count: 9
It's depressing on some accounts, but I still can't
say that I'm not excited for school to start. Then again, I've
always been one of those dorky kids who actually likes going to
school. I dunno why, maybe it's because it gives me something to
put my creative energy into. So far I have no classes with Tina
*pouts and sobs*, AP history w/ Diana and Katie, Math w/ Katie (I swear
I'm going to pay more attention this year instead of sending so many
random calculator notes to her...really I am...). And who knows
what else. Oh yeah, I'm a SECOND YEAR for computers so I'm
psyched. We get our own little room (and I get my same computer
from last year! woo-hoo!), get to pick our own assignments, etc., and
we don't have to listen to the boring 3 weeks of "This is what we're
going to be doing this year..." speech. Plus, we get to use all
the cool expensive stuff and the others DON'T because they don't know
how to. ;-)
I found out something alarming yesterday.
Actually it's something I've kind of known for my whole life, but it
really came out yesterday. I have an incredibly overactive
imagination. Yeah, big surprise to you all. But now it's
getting hard to control and stuff. Maybe it's because I read so
many fiction books (I can't help it, the others are sooooooooo
dull). For example: take a normal day watching a bit of TV on the
couch. Cut to me thinking what it would be like if our house was
upside down and we walked on the ceiling and presently flipping myself
over the side of the couch and ending up with my head in a laundry
basket. Just to see what it would be like. Honestly. Hmm...w/e it keeps me young. (?)
English homework (blech) update: Huckleberry Finn finished two weeks ago (eat that Mr. Clemens), 3 chapters left in Travels With Alice.
I'd say that's pretty good going. And only 6 and a half pages of
HF notes (they're little pages) and 2 of the other. *applaudes
self* Oh, and I'm almost done w/ my recording junk for
French. It's so embarassing how you have to send in a tape of
yourself. I sound freakin' weird! Is my voice really that
annoying in real life? (rhetorical question, guys, no comments required
from the peanut gallery...) Although on the upside, I can count
to at least one million in french if I really, REALLY wanted to.
Which I don't . Who would?
Lunch time. Must go eat. Grog hungry!!! er...yeah. Peace out, biznatch.
