Only 3 days to go!
I am so excited for Christmas this year! I think I'll be glad when it's over though. This month has been so busy, there's very little down time. Don't get me wrong - a lot of it has been fun, but I am very possessive of my alone time. I like having time to just veg, or play with the dog, or scrapbook, or write. Or just sit and think. I haven't been home with time to myself since Sunday. And that day was full of wrapping and Christmas cards. Tonight I'm looking forward to - my friend Lynn and I are meeting for dinner. I absolutely love these girls' nights out. She is one of the few people (and maybe the only one) that really gets me - and still likes me! LOL!
Today is my dad's 60th birthday. I sent him a gift basket of snack food. I need to remember to tell him to share w/ mom since her b-day was earlier in the month & I didn't get her anything.
I'm so proud of my gift giving this year. I gave everyone I work with "survival kits". The support staff got funky colored pens, chocolate candies, silly putty & a mini bottle of Bailey's. The attys got yo-yos, M&Ms and a mini bottle of Jack Daniels. It was a hit.
Last night was my Legal Professionals mtg/Christmas party. My Secret Pal knows me really well, and she got me an incredible gift - a filled stocking! No one has filled my stocking since I was a child and Mom filled it for me. Now I take care of everyone else's but mine is woefully empty year after year (except this year - I got myself a Miniature Schnauzer watch!). My Secret Pal filled a beautiful stocking w/ 3 books, snowman slippers, Miniature Schnauzer coasters, flavored iced coffee mixes and chocolate dipped spoons. It just really warmed my heart, because it was such a thoughtful gift.
