because I said so

I  am realizing that I care too much about what I do and not enough about what I am.

I feel a bit like a liar to myself. I don't know where all of this is leading me.

But here are little moments of my life lately:

This is a corridor leading to RCV radio studios, where I went to get a cd I had won (Chapel Hill) from them. But infortunately the guy did not have the key to the office so I need to get back. Just like the underground look of it.

On the way, I walked past this building which is now an art gallery hosting temporary exhibits. I like the glass-house and the enigmatic neon chandelier you can spot glowing green.

I forgot to post this picture of the delighful pistachio hot chocolate I had with my cousin when I took her to this amazing chocolate house in Lille. She had a nougat one. But they have hundreds of types, imported from an Italian brand, from marsala hot chocolate, to spicy hot chocolate, creole-styled one, etc...

A ballon flying in the spring sky...

And the little space by my futon when I am turning mystic..

Otherwise, well...

I am waiting to hear from my research paper supervisor, and starting to get nervous about it... Waiting to hear back from the library jobs I applied to.

Yesterday was quite of a nice and warm day. It started with spotting a girl in the metro wearing the same ballerinas as me. Smile.
Then making a big bowl of Asian-style noodle soup, with lots of mushrooms and soy sauce...
In the afternoon, at work I met this girl from Toulouse (Southern France) who was there for a conference. She looked lost so I directed her to the metro station, and we chatted on the way. She happened to have taken a class with one of the authorities on Salome, in her hometown university, so she gave me her card and said she'd be likely to get me in contact with her.
It was  a shame I was to be in town quite early to get to the Wire show, otherwise I would have taken her for a coffee. But, who knows...

On the way to the show, I was stopped by a guy asking me about the abr/club area in Lille. He told me he was visiting from Toulouse, so that made something interesting to be discussed, too, as I noticed he was the second person I had met today from this city. Anyway.

The show was sort of not so great, being the first one of the tour for Wire. They started being very annoying constantly sound checking between each song. But then it got more and more intense, and finished greatly. The opening band, from Paris, were called Frustration, and played some sort of cold-wave rock, Joy Division-like, which was a bit ironic for it was Ian Curtis's death anniversary on Tuesday. Anyway. It was sort of funny, if I may say so.

But well, here I go, making brioche. Have a nice week-end everyone!
