Alone again… naturally.

Mark’s mom came to visit us here in the UK last Tuesday, a trip which we were ALL looking forward to. Unfortunately it hasn’t turned out QUITE how we expected/wanted, as I’ve been having to bow out of most of the sight-seeing and fun stuff due to doctor’s appointments and an unexpected illness!

As a result I’ve not had much human interaction for the last few days, only getting to see my boyfriend for short times in the morning and just before bed (if I’m awake when he gets home, of course!). Then, this morning, I had to say farewell for three entire days! My champion boyfriend, being the fantastic son that he is, has swept his mother off to glorious Paris for a whirlwind tour of all the city has to offer. They won’t return until late late Wednesday night. We drop mama off at Heathrow on Thursday morning.

Le sigh.

So here I am all alone for what feels like the millionth time. It’s quite lonely, I have to admit. And since I’m still unwell, I can’t even toddle over to the neighbour’s house for a cup of tea.

Instead, I am spending a lot of time online, dividing my time between getting this website looking the way I want it to and harvesting crops in Farmville! Such a sad life I do lead…

All is not lost, however! With all this time on my hands, I expect I’ll have the initiative to start making lists of potential nursery items and baby ephemera! I can imagine it should be a lot of fun picking out furniture and such… even if we don’t yet know the baby’s gender.

I’ll tell you a secret though…. I’m convinced it’s a girl! Shh. :) Don’t tell!

Of course with the sheer amount of dresses and bonnets my mother’s been crocheting, I HOPE it’s a girl. My brother and his girlfriend found last week that their little bundle (due three weeks before mine!) is going to be blue!

Anyway, I think I’m out of words for now. I can’t wait until Mark is back and I have someone to speak real words to! Not to mention the snuggles I love so much.

Hurry back, my darling boy. I  miss you.
