ok i just found out last night what kept our house smelling like garbage/mold. the garbage disposal is actually very broken. i found out because there was no garbage in the actual garbage for it to smell up the house...and
i had to clean that out asap since we are going to be moving out of here in less than 30 days.
thank god for moms, i would have never thought to go smell that drain
