Hyukjae would never understand why he did this to her. Her beautiful chestnut brown hair, those big sparkly brown eyes, those tender red rips. He can still see the image of her so clear in his mind. He had been drinking, one shot too many. He sat down on the edge of his bed, staring at the photo frames before him. They had taken so many pictures; he remembered complaining how he didn’t have enough space in his room to place them all. He hears a faint giggle in his head, the same giggle she had; one that could turn his frown into a smile.
He laid on his bed, tucking himself under the covers, his face against the soft pillows. He inhales: and there it was; her scent, it still lingers on his sheets. She always smelt like lavender. He touches the sheets, as he remembers how her bare body laid beside him. She would always fall asleep; her bare back facing him. He reaches out for her, trying to touch her bare back as he did, but in a split second, the imagery of her vanished.
She’s been begging him, pleading for him to tell her he still loves her, but every time she does, he tells her the same thing over and over again: I don’t love you anymore.
He reached into his pocket, taking out a small black box. He squints, as he opened the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. Hyukjae wanted to marry her. But he couldn’t, he simply couldn’t. He hears a faint sound of a baby crying, which gradually got louder and nearer. He slipped the box into his pocket and sat up.
“Oppa, help me take care of the baby.”
Kim Hyoyeon, I’m sorry.
“Sica,” he said. “Let’s get married.”
She had my baby.
