My requests:
This Life - 1996
I adored this show, which was my teenage aspirational viewing as I dreamed what it might be like to be a grownup. My favourite characters were Warren and Anna, my least favourite Miles, and I'd be open to including material from This Life+10. I'd especially love a vid of this to some mid-90s British music!
The Book Group
So much love for this show's comedy, literary references, and the fact that it's set in my hometown of Glasgow. I'd be over the moon with pretty much any vid I can imagine of this show. Bonus points for literary or Glaswegian connections in the song choice, if you like that kind of thing. :)
Please note that this is just 2 seasons of 6 half-hour episodes each--practically a safety fandom!
Maid Marian and Her Merry Men
If you're matching on this one, you probably know exactly the kind of childish glee even thinking about this show engenders in me. I haven't watched it since I was a child, so I hope it lives up to my memory of its feminism and general awesomeness. Marian-focused would be great, but anything for this fandom would just make me leap up and down with joy.
Misfits
At the time of nominating fandoms, I have only seen the first 5 episodes of this, but I will have finished it by the time the vids come out! I'm so taken with this show's commentary on class and superheroism. I'd like a vid for any character, but would probably prefer one of the women. I'm also very disturbed, at least at this moment, by the race/gender/consent issues in Alisha's portrayal and would be up for a serious vid exploring/critiquing that, if you're inspired to make one.
My Own Private Idaho
This is the film of my queer teenageness; I had such an intense fascination with River Pheonix's character, his narcolepsy, his sadness, the film's moody depiction of the edges of American culture. I can't imagine a vid for this film that wouldn't make me happy.

Radical science fiction cluster! I have daydreamed of crossovers between any or all of these.... I would just love vids for these to exist, to encourage more people to seek them out but also because of the kinds of commentary on politics and culture they could enable. I think they would all be very interesting to work in external source with, whether from RL or from more mainstream SF, if that kind of thing interests you.
FWIW, when I listed these as requests, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to request them or just offer them. But then I forgot to go back and add... I kind of have a lot of ideas of my own about these that, but I'd still be fascinated to see what others made of them. Since my ideas are on the political and thematic side on the whole, character-centric vids would be particularly fun for me to see, I think. But whatever moves you! (If you matched on these, I'm betting you probably have political vid ideas too :) )
The only one I have much in the way of details for beyond VIDS FOR THIS OMG is Sleep Dealer, where I'd especially like to see a vid that centered on Luz's moral ambiguities.
