I called and got an appt today with a podiatrist about my big toe. I had took off a week of work in December and I want to get it fixed that week. The medical assistant said that I needed to come in before that date so that the Doctor could evaluate it. So at 230pm I showed up. He talked to me a few minutes about my toe. How long have you had it? When did it start getting bad? How is the pain? Why did you wait so long? Then he tells me he will be right back. He walks back in with this BIG BIG needle and 3 sterile packages. He sits down in front of me and opens up this needle. I was like ... Whoa! whoa! whoa!. Im just here for an Evaluation. He started laughing at me and cleaning it with an alcohol swab. I was like .. im serious, I took a week off in December to get this done. He then looked at me and told me that this couldnt wait till December. He stuck my toe with that needle about 30 times. Thank God, I only felt the first 6 or so. My toe went numb from pain, but I could still feel pressure. The rest of the procedure went well. I just hope the pain doesnt get too bad tonight after the lidocaine wears completely off. I have to be at work at 1045pm.
