Taiwan is part of China. 90% of "Taiwanese" are first or second generation Chinese. If you are actually a native (meaning your family did not immigrate to Taiwan due to the Red Army in the 1940s), then call yourself Taiwanese all you want. I can call myself Shanghaiese all I want, but does that mean I'm not Chinese? If anyone wants to argue with me about this, I will take you on.
