in the days it has taken to walk unfurled,
open to the givings and takings of winds and tides,
we walk and ship our goods through third-parties
we have professors teach our children
officers arrest our villains
tyrants order our executions
what is a judge to law? a man to his wife?
a misgiving of sovereignty, a contract signed by complacency
our social and economic tithing are incomplete without more
each ship must travel of her own devices
must transport its own winnings
there is no finale but to offer up these shortcomings, enlist a crew and mental faculty to make long-awaited choices, lift anchor, leave port
*edit: i am not a communist
**not an anarchist either
