Shunsui, the debonair panty thief, was still cataloging his winnings on the island, gazing out happily at the sea. What put Shunsui in such a good mood? He was soon to be reunited with his beloved Lieutenant.
"Nanao-chaaan~"
He said gleefully to the sea.
Not wanting to put the kind individuals she had been traveling with at too much of an inconvenience, Nanao had decided to surface about a half-mile from the shore of the island her Taichou was supposedly on. Thankfully, this world had plenty of ambient reishi, and the female lieutenant expertly gathered it beneath her feet as she dashed across the ocean's surface. She could sense him now, far stronger than she had underwater, and any anger about his idiocy faded rapidly as she felt relief to sense him again.
Within moments, she could see him, pink kimono fluttering in the breeze, and the faintest hint of a smile tugged at her lips. Another moment later, she was beside him, and she bowed humbly. "It's good to see you, Captain."
"Nanao-chan~ You look even more radiant since I last saw you."
He placed his hands on her shoulder in a too familiar way as he expected such actions to warrant chastisement but alas, he cared not. It was Nanao and he was extremely happy to see her.
She straightened up and didn't bother to shrug off her Captain, instead simply looking at him calmly from behind the slender frames of her glasses. "There's no need for that, Captain," she scolded, though there was far less cold bite to her words than normal, and she simply shook her head at him.
"As for my radiance...I've heard enough about my looks for the past week," she added, cringing slightly at the memory of the exceptionally loud men-women who had screeched at her for days. At first, she had been mildly flattered, but eventually she had simply been completely irritated and mildly "creeped out" by the awkward men.
"Which reminds me...shouldn't a Captain have been trying to get to his lieutenant?"
With that, he grandly bent over and picked up something to which he handed to her.
"I believe these belong to you~ As delicate and glorious as my Nanao-chan~"
Her panties were kept in great care.
And suddenly, all of the anger boiled back up in a single, fiery burst. The sight of her simple white underwear, now in her possession, made her twitch in frustration. The one small bit that kept her from completely snapping on her Captain was the fact that he had found these, instead of the ridiculous silk string contraption (for Nanao could not bring herself to call it underwear) that Rangiku had purchased for her. No...at least he had found these instead. She had a feeling she never would have heard the end of it if he had found that ridiculous thing.
"...you really should get a hold of yourself, Captain," she stated calmly, forcing herself to remain calm as she placed the underwear within her robes and out of sight. "So, what do you plan to do now, sir?"
Shunsui reached out for her and placed a hand on her shoulder in a most inappropriate manner for a captain.
