"Yeah, I know them. She's kinda too into herself though."
"You know them?"
"Yeah, I used to DJ at this club- you ever heard of Beat It?"
"Oh yeah, yeah."
"Yeah I met this girl there and she introduced us. So now everytime there's a Saddle Creek thing in the area Jenny calls me and puts me on the guest list."
We talked for a couple minutes and the entire time I was thinking, "If I became friends with this guy, I could ostensibly become friends with some crazy indie-rock icons. I think I would turn into an iconoclast or revert to triviality-focused life. Either way it was a bad prospect, but I was intrigued and excited at the possibility. His name was "David, by the way." "Oh yeah, I'm Leo." Then my bus came and I left.
