I have such a wonderful boyfriend! This past week has been so amazing and memorable that I'm speechless! I must say He's normally not the romantic type but last night he certainly blew that statement out of the water! OK, from the beginning. & for the record I had no idea what he had planned so everything was a HUGE surprise!
6:45 Arrived at Nate's house, we hopped in the Mini and took off to our first destination!
7:00 Pulled into the park that we play at once in a while! He set up a picnic that he packed all himself, I had half of a turkey and cheese sandwich and he ate the other half, he had a BLT and we both shared some grapes, crackers and cheese and I had half of a banana. He also brought Sparkling Red Grape Juice with whine glasses for us to drink! J And finally he gave me a bouquet of B-E-A-U-tiful pink Gladiolus.
7:45 We parked at the Chinook Pier and went into the surf shop to look at the swimsuits that were 30% off, he didn’t find any he liked so we walked out and there was Olson walking up to us with a monkey and red rose in his arm and he was carrying two ice-cream cones in his hand. Cookie Dough for Nate and Chocolate for me, they were steaming and melting all over but it was so cute. The Monkey was one that Nate and I saw at Meijers a few nights before and I said it reminded me of him and I wanted to get it, he bought little orange flower print swim shorts to go on him and I’m going to get him little sunglasses. His name is Mr. Nate! We finished our ice-cream and then walked to the restrooms so I could wash my hands.
Then we left…
8:45 We arrived at Buchanan (could be spelled wrong) Beach, as we were walking down towards the beach Nate had arranged it so that up on the hill there were two tiki candles lit and Ben and Eric were standing there with a Red Rose for me. The forgot the blanket but it was all good. I got Nate to slow dance with me and because we didn’t have any music he sang “You are so beautiful” to me, he made up his own verses because he couldn’t remember them but it was so cute. He wrapped his arms around me and we just stood there over looking the water and the hazy sky. When we started to get eaten by flies we headed back to the car, we wiped the sand off my feet and we packed up everything. We left and went to his house to unpack the candles and picnic basket. We put my roses in a vase with water and wrapped my other flowers in a wet paper towel.
9:20 We got back into the car to drive around and listen to music, so I thought. When we drove down this dead end road one of our favorite songs started to play so I closed my eyes and the next thing I realize we are at the Grand Haven 9, all in smiles we walked in and Errol (a friend of ours) was waiting there with a Red Rose, a bucket of popcorn and two tickets to see Must Love Dogs at 9:40. We watched the movie and it was so good.
11:40 We got back to Nate’s and laid around and cuddled. I left around 12:30 to go home and he went to sleep so that he could get up for work today!
It’s a night that was so magical I’m never going to ever be able to forget it! I thank everyone who helped make my night so great and I thank my boyfriend for being so wonderful and caring!
If I had to rate the evening out of 10 I would give it a 40!
Life is great right now, two great dates in one week! Next week I have to baby-sit everyday except for Thursday 8-5. Thursday Nate will be coming over before the sun comes up and we will be spending the WHOLE day together! Saturday or Sunday he leaves for Ferris! :-( Oh well, we'll just make the best out of the time we have left!
