(no subject)
To give you an example of how direct German's are:
I went to an awesome outdoor concert last night, and as we were all leaving these two guys stopped us and asked me why I was speaking English. I said I was from America, blah blah blah. Then one of them was like "Oh wow, you are a really pretty American girl" and I said "Oh vielen dank" (which is like "thanks so much") and then he goes "but your scarf is not that great". Haha, what? It's like people here have never heard the saying "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all". I mean, I respect honesty, and prefer it, but you don't have to tell people EVERYTHING you think about them. Also, my scarf is totally great.
In other news, I had a CRAZY dream last night where me and my boyfriend were being stalked by a crazy murderer for weeks. A few times he chased us down the street, weilding a knife and yelling obscene, scary, crazy things. I came home from work one day to find my boyfriend slaughtered on the floor of our apartment. I start screaming and run for the phone to dial 911, and Ashton Kutcher walks throught the front door and yells "You just got PUNKED!" Then my boyfriend stands up laughing, I learn it's fake blood and the "murderer" was some producer on the show. Yeah, weird.
