1) What DON'T I like about Balthier? He's got the snark and the voice and the pants and that "I have given zero fucks about anything since breakfast" and the pants. And then there's all the juicy, heart-breaking stuff beneath the surface and I just...gah! I love him. With mouth.
2) All of them. Seriously, every time the man opens his mouth, brilliance spills out. Especially that last line: "Not to worry. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies."
3) He only really has two outfits and they're both fab because they both involve marvelously tight leather pants.
4) Balthier/Everyone, but specifically Vaan, Ashe, Basch, and once in a blue moon, Fran. But only if it's done just right.
5) That he wasn't such a fucktard in the sequel. He barely shows up for the first like 2/3 of the game, and when he does, he's considerably less fantabulous than he should be.
6) That they might make additional expansions and launch him farther into fucktard territory. But who am I kidding? Square make another Ivalice game? Riiiiiight. Dreams don't come true.
