What is religion? Well to me religion is just one of those things that was made up for other people to feel good. I am religious and I do believe in God, but what is religion and is there really a God? I have found myself wondering at times if God didn't exist. Then i wondered what would happen after i died. If no one believed in any religion, then after we die, our souls and our existence would just disappear. All we had lived for, would be nothing. There would be nothing to look forward to after death. I can recall thinking that as a little kid and i started crying. Everyone i loved, i would never see again.
Thinking about it even now scares me. But i firmly believe that this life on earth isn't the end. How could i, when so many unexplained miracles and phenomena happen to so many people? I know that those who i love and have died are in a better place waiting for us to come home.
Yes, we were created for a reason. And we could not be created without a higher power overseeing it all. Otherwise, it would just be chaos.
It doesn't seem as if people could just make up the Bible. Modern research shows that many facts are accurate in the Bible.
I don't know and i'm not a specialist in this field, but it all makes sense.
Sorry i've written so long, but I can really relate to what you're saying.
I respect and admire you for asking questions and being curious in this matter. Many people don't have the drive to make their questions known and seek answers. Thus, their religious life fades away. Do more research and ask more questions. Unfortunately we will never know all the answers or even come close, but in some aspects that may be fortunate.
Again i'm sorry for writing so much. I feel almost embarrassed, but i shouldn't. I should feel pride.
