the dead are playing at the berkeley community theater, and they played there exactly one year before my birth, to the day anyway. i met a guy whod just come in from tucson arizona for the show today, and i got the impression that he had only been in arizona for a short time. he was travelling. id just been reading the dharma bums, and jack kerouac had just made it back to the bay area from arizona.
