Chapter 2,
Chapter 3, &
Chapter 4 if you haven't read it yet! XD
Last night, Takaki kept on losing during their games. Chinen wasn't sure if he was losing on purpose but he had lots of fun. Every time that Takaki laughed or smiled, made his little heart skip a beat. Chinen wanted to hold on to those precious moments that he had with him because it seemed like life was just better when Takaki was with him. No, he was the best thing that ever happened to him. He felt that Takaki made his life complete... His mind was still filled with these thoughts when he opened the door to the dressing room slowly, peeking at the crack. Takaki was in there listening to his iPod. Chinen had the impulse to call out Takaki's name when he noticed that someone else was also in there. The other one had bounced his way in front of Takaki and had asked him something. Chinen didn't catch what the person said but the sight of what happened in the next second made his heart fell.
Yamada was sitting on Takaki's lap... It took a little while for that to register in Chinen's little head. Was he seeing some sort of illusion? He closed his eyes and opened them again. It's real! But how was it possible? Especially Yamada! He doesn't seem like the type to sit on someone's lap! Why couldn't he have chosen another BEST's lap such as Hikaru or Yabu? Could this mean that Yamada and Takaki are already in a relationship? When could it have happened? Maybe they were already together?! He started to imagine all the possible scenarios that could have occurred...
He took a deep breath and said, "Ano, I really like you, Takaki-kun!" It took all of Yamada's courage to say that aloud, fearing that rejection was going to hit him at the next minute.
It took a little while for Takaki to register what Yamada had just said. He looked like he was going to cry soon. Takaki simply smiled and placed one hand on the latter's left cheek. Yamada felt like he couldn't breathe at that moment.
"I like you too..." Takaki slowly leaned in... closer... and closer...
"Are you going to go in, Chinen?"
Chinen snapped back into reality. "Thanks for stopping me or else I would be imagining Takaki and Yamada-," Chinen babbled as he looked up to see who the voice belonged to and stopped before he could embarrass himself even more.
"Stopping you? Imagining them what?" Daiki asked curiously.
"Nothing," Chinen muttered.
"Let's go in. Unless you want to stay here all day at the door doing who knows what?"
Daiki went in and Chinen followed. Takaki and Yamada looked up to see who came in and said a brief greeting before going back in their little bubble. Daiki sat down at a chair and picked up his manga. Chinen knew that it was rude to stare at them but he couldn't tear his eyes off from the sight. Yamada whispered something into Takaki's ear and then both of them suddenly burst into giggles. What was Yamada doing with HIS Takaki? And what's with that arm hugging Yamada ever so closely to his body? Chinen went over and plopped onto Daiki's lap, crossing his arms, scowling at the scene.
"Hey, I was reading my manga..." Daiki said, slightly annoyed. Chinen didn't say anything.
"What's wrong?" Daiki asked with a concerned face.
"Nothing," Chinen replied quickly, a bit too quick...
"Uh huh... suuure..." Daiki looked at the direction Chinen was staring at. Yamada was currently blowing softly into Takaki's ear, which made the older boy squirm a bit.
"That... tickles... Yama-chan!" Takaki said in between laughing. Yamada just smiled and continued on with the blowing.
Daiki felt Chinen tense up, hands clutching his jacket tightly. His face had scrunched even more. He started to chuckle and ruffled Chinen's hair, amused at the younger boy's jealousy. Chinen turned around and looked at him with a scowling face. Daiki simply flicked his forehead. "You'll get wrinkles if you keep looking like that."
Chinen's face softened as he rubbed his forehead. "Looking like what?"
"Like you want to murder a certain someone," Daiki said with a smirk.
"Eh? B-but... I-I didn't..." Chinen was at a loss of words. Did he really look like that? It's all Yamada's fault! Who said that he can sit on Takaki's lap and start flirting with him! Takaki is mine! Hold on... did I just say that Takaki is mine? I don't own Takaki! He's not a toy! He's just a really great brother! Right... A really... great... What am I trying to say? Even though his instinct told him not to look at Takaki and Yamada again, he just couldn't stop himself. It was like if someone told you to not look behind but you do it anyways.
Yamada was attempting to mess up Takaki's hair but he had retaliated by trying to poke him back. Then Yamada tried to bite Takaki's finger whenever it tried to get near him. "Piglet," Takaki remarked. Yamada looked shocked for a second and the BEST member took this chance to succeed in poking. The younger boy squealed in response while Takaki laughed at his reaction. Yamada pouted in return and started to attack Takaki with pokes as payback. It seemed like they were having the time of their lives...
Stupid flirt! Just you wait... He started to think of ways in bullying Yamada. Hmm... I could sneak in tomatoes and fermented soybeans in his lunch! Kukuku... The face will be priceless when I see him eat it and spit it out in disgust. Or I can lock him in this haunted house at nighttime. Ari-chan's house should be the best place... or... wait... why am I even mad at Yama-chan? He has always been a good friend to me and he hasn't done anything wrong... He's just getting close to Takaki... Maybe even closer... What in the world am I thinking? What's wrong with me? I'm so confused...
"Are you crying, Chinen?" Daiki asked in an almost inaudible whisper.
Chinen felt droplets of tears rolling down his face. He didn't realize that he was crying until Daiki had asked. "N-no... I-I-I'm n-not c-cr-crying..." Darn... I'm stuttering... He bit his lips, trying to hold back the tears but more came out as a result.
Daiki brushed away his tears with his thumbs and put his head against Chinen's. "Come on, let's get out of here... you don't want Takaki and Yamada to see you like this, right?" Chinen merely nodded his head as more tears flooded out. The older boy helped the younger one stand up. He buried his head into Daiki's clothes, not wanting to let them see him crying. Daiki wrapped an arm around Chinen and lead him to the door.
"Hey!" A voice had stopped them. "Is there anything wrong?" Takaki questioned with a worried face. Yamada also had the same look.
"Umm... Chinen just has been having a bad day... so... I'm going to take him to my house," Arioka answered slowly.
"How about we go to Yuto's house instead? He can liven things up plus we can help cheer Chinen up!" Yamada said. "Right?" he asked while looking at Takaki. He just nodded.
When Chinen heard that, he just shook his head frantically and looked up at Daiki with desperate eyes for a second. Chinen put his head into Daiki's shirt again and clung onto him for dear life. Please! I don't want to go! Don't make me go Ari-chan! I beg of you! Please... Don't want to see Takaki or Yamada... please... please...
"Uhh... I don't think that's a good idea... Don't worry... everything will be fine. Let me handle this, alright?" Daiki had a look that said, "Please don't ask anymore."
"Oh okay..." Chinen sighed in relief when Yamada finally dropped the idea.
"See you guys tomorrow." Daiki gave a slight nod. Takaki and Yamada waved and said good-bye. Daiki walked Chinen out the door and headed for his house.
