I think the Sox are about to win, but I'm afraid to watch. And I'm completely beyond the idea of doing homework at this point. I'm only staying up because there will be brownies in the lounge at 11, and it's not as though my entire diet today hasn't been solely chocolate.

I have to buy another pair of gym shoes and more athletic clothing. I obviously should have foreseen this need. I am, after all, attending the University of Chicago, the school where everyone works out three times a week and plays football on the weekends.

It's like my parents' reasoning for allowing me to apply here but not Claremont McKenna: "You'll be more social at the UofC."

What can I say? My school's where it's at.

Speaking of ending sentences with prepositions, I met my copy buddy Al the other day and had the following conversation:
"So, have you ever done this before?"
"No."
"So, you're a grammar nazi?"
"Yeah."
[awkward nerdy laughing] "That's so cool." [awkward nerdy laughing]

So Al thinks I'm cool. I'm glad someone does.

And this guy down the hall thinks my OED is badass.

So, yeah, in conclusion, maybe I really do have it going on.

And the Sox won.

End of story. Good night.
