The Cruise

So, it's been a very long time since I've written...

This past week, I went on a cruise with Britt, my parents, and my dad's parents. It was sooo much fun.

The first day
It was kind of a half day. We went to the buffet for lunch. Then we hung out on the top deck by the pool, watched people dance a new kind of electric slide. Then we just hung out until the welcome aboard show. It was a comedian named Rodney Johnson. His show was a lot about parenting and pretty much how you should beat your children. Haha. Britt and I ordered room service, cheese pizza. It was super yummy. A little sea sick, but hey it's a boat.

The second day
We woke up early to get on the ferry boat to Coco Cay. Coco Cay is an island owned by Royal Caribbean. It was soo amazing. It was literally like a commercial. We were in a cabana and everything. We were looking over the rocks and ocean and could see our boat in the distance. It was soooo beautiful. We got out there like 10ish, and didn't get back on the boat until like 3. Lunch. Nap. Dinner. It was a formal night. I wore a black dress and heels, Britt wore a blue dress and heels. An older couple joined our table named Vic and Marcia. They were really very nice. Vic liked to brag, but nice. Vic was retired. Marcia was an accountant for a Catholic School. She wore a lot of very pretty, expensive jewelry. Later that night we went to a show called 'Dancing Through the Movies' by the cruise Singers and Dancers. It was cute. They danced to Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, and other classics. My mom and I gambled a little bit, but not much luck. We were in the hole and decided to call it quits. It was fun though to hang out with my mom and spend some money, lol. Then we went to the comedian's second midnight show. He talked more about sex, famous people, and the like. No sea sickness. Bed.

The third day
We woke up really early and went to Nassau. Brittany and I had an appointment in the Atlantis Resort to swim with the DOLPHINS! It was the BEST part of my vacation. The dolphin's name was Elijah and he was 7 years old and weighed around 280 pounds. These are no flipper sized dolphins, they were gigantic! They gave us wet suits and we went into 'training'. Then we got into the water, with about 8 other people. Elijah came swimming up to us and 'introduced' himself by swimming underneath all of our hands 4 or 5 times. I'll admit the first time I was a little scared, but it didn't take long to get over that. Then we got to kiss him, hug him, feed him, and rub his back and belly. They took pictures of everything, we bought 3 (one of me kissing Elijah, one of Britt hugging him, and one of us together holding on to him) Afterwards, we walked around the Atlantis Resort and looked at all the fish and such. We took tons of pictures!! Then we walked back and went into Versace and Dooney and Burke and other real fancy places. We took the ferry boat back to Nassau and got back on the big cruise boat. We told the rents and grandrents that we would be back around 2. They were all napping when we got back. Lol, so Britt and I had a quick lunch at the buffet. Then we woke their butts up and went back to Nassau. We went to the Straw Market, which is probably the place the devil goes to shop. It was crazy crowded and the women are pushing their fake purses like drugs. And yes I bought a coach, its from the spring line. It looks pretty real. I was comparing it to Britt's coach bag. (Which is actually real, thanks to Amanda ) and it looks real close. Britt and my mom bought Dolce and Gabanna bags. Which I compared to my real Dolce and Gabanna (thanks to my Granny) and the only difference I could find was the circle around the logo was different. So, the purses are good, real good. Especially at a cool $45, where they would be hundreds at other places. Mom, Dad, Britt, and I walked around Nassau and got some Bahama Mama's. Then we went to dinner, as always. The service was impeccable. Later, we saw a juggler. He talked like Beetlejuice or Mitch Hedburg. Pretty funny. My favorite thing he did was juggle glow sticks and he turned the lights off, really neat! I suppose I'm easy to amuse. We walked the deck for a while. There was a midnight buffet. It was pretty sick though, there was a whole pig with an apple in his mouth and everything. It was really really windy. The boat was rocking pretty good that night, so we turned in fairly early, like 1:30.

The fourth day
This was the last day on the actual boat. Britt and I slept in til Mom woke us up at 9:30ish. Which was good because it was so dark in the cabin, we could have slept alllll day. We all showered and got ready. We got some quick breakfast at the buffet. This was the day that we laid out by the pool ALL day. Britt and I looked for a chair everywhere, but no luck. So, we just went up to the second deck and layed our towels on the ground. We couldn't take that for very long, it was extremely hot!!!! So we went and sat with our feet in the pool and just relaxed. The rest of the fam got down on the deck and we all just sat around, talked, relaxed, had a great day. Papa found us some chairs. My papa also was in the belly flop contest. He did pretty good, especially for a near 70 year old man. He's pretty much amazing. We went in around 5 and cleaned up a little for dinner. After dinner we saw the singers and dancers again in a production called Flashback. They danced through the decades. The 50's was my favorite. So it was def. a day of reading by the pool, taking in some rays and well awesome-ness.

Random
We went to see a guitarist. He did all requests. Sadly, he didn't know any Ben Folds. I didn't expect him to. He played a lot of Journey, Cat Stevens, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Petty, Steve Miller and the like. One evening we ordered hot chocolate and I spilled it all over the bed!!! Ugh, I was so mad. The weather was just amazing!!! I didn't get seasick too often, only a little bit twice. The cabin was really small, but cozy in a way. The pool was filled with sea water, which I found interesting, but it makes sense. Why pay for water, when one is surrounded by it?

Well that's all I suppose. It was quite enough I think!!!
