Shmoozing

Today was a great day. I turned in my huge research paper...I threw it on her desk and walked out. It was somewhat dramatic like that. I loved it. It feels like I climbed Mt. Everest, but not. I rocked my presentation on the research paper. I love that I'm comfortable presenting in front of people. It's like the ONE thing that I'm good at. So let me gloat about it okay? Sheesh.

Then I came home to celebrate by sitting on the couch all day and doing absolutely nothing for the first time in like, what? Two months, but no. My mom calls and says she just got tickets to the Mariners game in one of the private suites. How can I resist that? So I ended up going to the Mariners game. We left at the top of the 8th. The score was 9 to 4 Mariners...SO I'm pretty sure they won. Anyway. I got to shmooze with some pretty important people. I felt so out of place. I met the President of Kemper Development...which is the company thats responsible for Lincoln Square and now owns Bellevue Square. Aparently he and my mom are friends! Weird! I also met the former mayor of Bellevue, he was really nice. We talked about swimming with Great White Sharks. I also met former Sen. Slade Gordon, that was cool. And a few other people I can't remember. It was really weird to find out that my mom is friends with some of these people. I mean...she works in Insurance...she can't be THAT special, right? I love my mom, she's my favorite lady.

Now that my papers all finished with I don't want to go to school anymore...but only 3 more days of classes. Two tests and then I'm done, so I might as well suck it up and get it done with.
