The GM at my Papa John's has just suggested that I start training to become an assistant manager instead of a delivery driver. I haven't given an answer yet. I think I should weigh the negatives against the positives first.
Positive: I won't be making as much money because I won't be getting tips, so I won't have to count as much cash at the end of the day.
Negative: I won't be getting tips, so I'll have to report all my earnings to the IRS.
Positive: My job will be more stressful, so maybe I'll finally be able to learn to enjoy stressful situations.
Negative: My job won't be as unstressful, so I may miss the unstressful situations I constantly deal with as a driver.
So far both options seem pretty good. I'm not sure what I should do.
