Dean wasn't going to pretend like he was enjoying his time with Cas either. Cas was usually the person he hung out with to get AWAY from the constant bickering, but now he had it on both ends with Sam AND Cas and he was just as irritable but with no outlet.
He wasn't going to ask why Cas chose the back seat instead of the passengers side, either. Even though he found that offensive too.
After a lot of silence and a high way later, "Y'hungry?"
Cas hadn't meant for it to come as...offensive. It was just to better protect Dean's well-beinbg. The angel may have seemed like (at the very most) that he was just irritable. But it was much more than that now. His skin crawled when Dean was around, his inner core heated up and all he wanted was DeanDeanDean. The distance was for Dean's safety.
"No, I'm not Dean." He said pointedly in the man's direction.
There was nothing up his ass. He just wasn't hungry. Simple as that, Dean-o. "You asked. I told the truth." He deadpanned, tilting his head to the side with a curious look on his face.
