jump on it, jump on it, jump on it

Damn it all, this last week I've had a quite a few sleeps where I dream all night that I'm working at Tait's. Like, really vivid, involved, extended dreams. I usually realize partway through, "what the fuck? Why am I working at Tait's overnight, after I just finished a shift?" but that never turns it into a lucid dream situation, I just keep at it. You'd think I'd have had something more interesting to dream about last night. I guess my subconscious is working at Tait's full-time too, now. Uck.

I fell asleep at five and woke up of my own accord at 8, and I've been trying to get back to sleep for the last hour.half, apparently without much luck. This will make working tonight exciting. Work work work, work-a hey.

I think maybe I have tendonitis in my left achilles tendon? How would I even know for sure, though? It started aching pretty acutely towards the end of my 9-hour shift Monday, but only when there was pressure from the heel of my shoe. Yesterday at work it didn't bother me at all because I was wearing loafer-slides, but when I put on my Allstars to go dancing it started aching again. After I had walked a little ways, though, it seemed to go away. If it were a bruise or a sore spot on my heel, you'd think it'd only get worse with continued irritation and not go away after warming up. Who among you has ever been to a podiatrist? Will he put a funny splint on my foot? Will he be impressed by my well-muscled arches? Maybe insist that I start wearing motherfucking socks with my motherfucking shoes? Only time will tell.
