It's a Festival for the Rest of Us

Dec 19, 2009 23:24

Today was our Festivus celebration. I made a dip with cream cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic, feta cheese and a little ranch for flavor. It is a-freakin-mazing. But someone else brought spinach dip as well and it was much prettier, so everyone ate the pretty one. Story of my life.

Regardless of that, it was a good time. Lots of food to be eaten and beer to be drank. As a tradition, there is always two turduckens. Yes, that's a turkey stuffed with a chicken, stuffed with a duck with stuffing in between each layer and it is delicious. Everyone brought a yummy side dish to go along with the 'ducken and it was all very tasty. And also as tradition dictates, we hold on to the Festivus pole and air our grievances. I only had one, and it was just about how much the bus system here sucks for people who don't drive. It was kinda lame, but whatever. I'll have much better grievances next year.

Aaaand I got a free cab ride home. Wooo!

food, good times, festivus
