It's been a fun weekend and I've really been enjoying my time off. I really needed it after eight workdays in a row.
Friday I went shopping for a good part of the day. I went to this shop where everything was 50% off that day. I only ended up with a sweater which ended up being $6. There was this awesome dress, but didn't fit the bust. Which is almost always a problem. Okay small tangent here-- my friend and I are both short, curvy, and busty and I know there's SOOO many other women out there like that. So why doesn't someone make clothes for them? Seriously, if I had any interest in the field of clothing design, I would totally try to make a line like that! Anyways, it was a pretty frustrating shopping trip, but I'm not giving up yet.
Yesterday Tony had a softball game so I went with Jessie to watch it. The first one was fun because we got to sit in the shade. The second one, not so much because the field had no shade whatsoever. So I went to J+T's for a nap while they finished the game. We had plans to go watch the football game at the bar later, so there was no reason for me to go all the way home. Naps are wonderful, I really should take them more often.
The football game was the best part of the day. I've never even watched an entire football game in my life. It was a lot of fun, and our team won, so it was good times all around. I had to catch the last bus home, so I headed out right after the game.
When I got home, Heather texted that there was karaoke down at the pub down the street. I can't pass up karaoke! So I went down there and we hung out with her brother's friends/roommates/girlfriend. I did "Love Song" by Sara Barilles, which I realized I don't know as well as I thought. At least I know the chorus, though!
We went school supply shopping today, which is always exciting. I always remember being excited about getting that stuff when I was younger. I got highlighters, and a binder and a three-hole punch and post its. I'm sure there's a lot more that I'll need, but I thought that would be a start.
Well, I should head out and find out what books I'll need to buy for school. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
